Third Author at Oakland

Academia

During my last few months as a researcher with the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity Research I helped out on a paper that eventually got accepted to Oakland.

The paper leverages Machine Learning to demonstrate how audio can be extracted from a video that has the audio muted.

I mainly helped in the infrastructure for data collection as I aided in creating the iOS app and the automation that would be used to record the videos. The app was necessary as the native camera app on an iPhone would add auto-correction to video footage that contains perturbations.

I mainly worked with Pirouz on this part of the paper. It was a great experience as he was clear and organized with all the objectives necessary from my end.

There is a dedicated website made for the paper that has been completed recently and I wanted to share it. The site can be found here.
